The Cyrus 8₂DAC is the company’s most flexible, integrated amplifier. A high quality and scalable design provides an impressive 88 Watts per channel, and includes six analogue inputs. These sources can be individually named from a list of options in the set up wizard. Also included is an excellent headphone stage and twin speaker outputs for bi-wiring. A superb, on-board, HI-RES DAC completes this value-packed, small-footprint, UK built amplifier.
Powerful Integrated Amplifier
The bi-wire output of the Cyrus 8₂DAC gives a full 88 Watts into 6 ohms. The power supply is a high current design that uses two transformers to completely separate the digital control stages from the sensitive audio signals. Classic Cyrus…
The Cyrus 8₂DAC delivers surprising audio performance and value because it is based on the advanced preamplifier circuitry from the DAC XP Signature; benefiting from a ‘trickle down’ of Cyrus’ most advanced digital/analogue technologies.
Six analogue inputs, a high quality headphone amplifier, Zone 2 and pre amplifier outputs give the Cyrus 8₂DAC flexibility for connecting a wide variety of audio devices. There is also a PSX-R port on the 8₂DAC allowing connectivity of the optional, off-board power supply.
Integrated HI-RES DAC
The Cyrus 8₂DAC features a high performance 24/192 DAC with optical and coaxial inputs. Also included is a driver-less USB connection for plug and play connectivity to a PC or laptop. And the Cyrus 8₂ DAC can be upgraded to ‘Qx’ specification for upsampling capability shared with the impressive DAC XP Signature.
The microprocessor controlled operating system in the Cyrus 8₂DAC allows extensive programming of many functions within the unit. Input naming, differing display readouts and input volume matching across all sources are just some of the possibilities found in the set-up wizard.
