The DTX Digital Platinum Pro is the first acoustically transparent screen in the DTX range, combining a high-quality acoustic weave surface with the same premium fixed frame construction as the Vision series for a genuinely balanced audiovisual experience. Designed for home theatre installations where speakers are positioned behind the screen, the Platinum Pro’s acoustic weave material allows sound to pass through the screen surface with superior audio performance, enabling the ideal cinema configuration of left, centre, and right speakers concealed behind the screen for a truly unified and immersive presentation. At 120 inches diagonal in the 16:9 format, the Platinum Pro provides a net picture area of 1,494 x 2,658mm with 4K and 3D compatibility, an 80mm velvet flock frame, a black backing to prevent light penetration and reflections from behind, and a spring tension system for a perfectly flat viewing surface. Acoustic Weave: Superior Audio Performance
The Platinum Pro’s acoustic weave surface is specifically designed to allow sound waves to pass through freely, enabling speakers to be positioned directly behind the screen without the acoustic compromise that would result from placing them beside or below it. While the acoustic weave surface provides a screen gain of 1.1, which is slightly less bright than micro-perforated alternatives, it delivers superior audio performance and represents an excellent choice for those who prioritise a balanced and genuinely integrated audiovisual experience above maximum image brightness. The black backing prevents ambient light from passing through the screen from behind, protecting image contrast and colour accuracy throughout the presentation.
Platinum Pro Construction and Frame
The Platinum Pro shares the same premium fixed frame construction as the DTX Vision series, with an 80mm black velvet flock frame that provides a deep, light-absorbing border enhancing perceived contrast and visual impact. The spring tension system keeps the acoustic weave surface permanently taut and precisely flat, ensuring a flawless viewing surface free from waviness or sagging for the lifetime of the installation. The included wall mount bracket makes installation straightforward and secure, and the screen is available across a range of sizes in both 16:9 and 2.39:1 aspect ratios for maximum flexibility.
