Eversolo AMP-F8 180W Class AB Power Amplifier
The Eversolo AMP-F8 is a stereo Class AB power amplifier designed for use with a separate preamplifier or a source with suitable volume control. It delivers 180W per channel into 8Ω and 280W per channel into 4Ω, with balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs for flexible system matching.
Stereo power with a bridged option
Use the AMP-F8 as a two channel power amplifier for a stereo system, or configure it in bridged mode for 500W into 8Ω. Its substantial power reserves suit demanding passages, while the choice of operating modes allows it to accommodate different system layouts.
Class AB amplification
Each channel uses three pairs of matched high current MOSFETs. This parallel arrangement shares the current load across the output devices and helps maintain linearity as speaker demands change. A dual differential circuit with symmetrical amplification and precision negative feedback works to reduce common mode noise and external interference.
A substantial linear power supply
A custom 800W toroidal linear power supply provides energy for the amplifier stages. Independent supply arrangements for the left and right channels help limit interaction between them. An array of 24 audio grade filter capacitors reduces supply ripple and provides current for musical peaks.
DC blocking for quieter operation
The AMP-F8 incorporates a DC blocking circuit to reduce the effects of DC offset in the mains supply on its toroidal transformer. This helps limit mechanical vibration and associated noise, giving the amplification circuitry a more stable power supply.
Low noise and distortion
Specified distortion is 0.003% THD+N at 1kHz, with an A weighted signal to noise ratio of at least 115dB. Frequency response extends from 10Hz to 30kHz within ±0.5dB, measured at 1W into 8Ω.
Control of your speakers
A damping factor greater than 400, measured into 8Ω at 1kHz, supports control over speaker driver movement. Substantial speaker terminals provide secure connections, and the internal layout is designed to maintain stable thermal performance during extended listening.
Balanced and unbalanced connections
Balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs accommodate compatible preamplifiers, DACs and source components. Gain options of 23dB and 29dB provide further flexibility when matching the amplifier to the output level of the connected equipment.
Analogue VU meters
The front panel features analogue VU meters that respond to the music in real time. The chassis is sized to match the Eversolo DMP-A8 Gen 2, while its understated black finish also suits systems built around other components. Source components and speakers are sold separately.
Aluminium construction and system control
The CNC machined aluminium chassis has a sandblasted, anodised finish. Its thick enclosure supports heat dissipation and electromagnetic shielding while helping reduce physical resonance. A 12V trigger connection allows coordinated power control with compatible equipment.
Dimensions and supplied accessories
The AMP-F8 measures 388 × 119 × 265mm (W × H × D) and weighs 15.9kg. The box includes the amplifier, a power cable, a trigger cable and a user manual.
