Seven Discrete Power Amplifiers

Seven discrete power amplifiers give the Cinema 60 Series 2 the drive required for films, concerts, and multichannel music. Rated at 100 watts per channel into 8 ohms from 20Hz to 20kHz at 0.08% distortion with two channels driven, and 140 watts into 6 ohms at 1kHz, the amplifier section delivers confident, controlled performance without the need for external amplification in most home theatre configurations. Pure Direct mode provides a simplified signal path for focused music listening, and 7.2-channel pre-amplifier outputs are available for connecting external power amplifiers or powered speakers when building a more flexible system.

Immersive Audio and Room Correction

The Cinema 60 Series 2 supports Dolby Atmos, Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Atmos Height Virtualisation, DTS:X, DTS Neural:X, and DTS Virtual:X across a wide range of immersive and conventional soundtracks. Dolby Atmos Height Virtualisation creates a greater sense of elevation when the installed speaker layout does not include dedicated height speakers. Audyssey MultEQ XT provides automatic speaker setup using the supplied calibration microphone, with Dynamic EQ and Dynamic Volume for practical everyday listening control. Dirac Live room correction is available as an optional upgrade for more advanced acoustic optimisation.

Advanced 8K HDMI Platform and Gaming Support

Six rear HDMI inputs provide flexible source switching, with three inputs and both monitor outputs supporting 8K at 60Hz and 4K at 120Hz at up to 40Gbps. HDR10, HLG, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and Dynamic HDR preserve compatible picture formats, and eARC returns supported television audio through the main HDMI connection. Gaming support includes ALLM, VRR, QFT, and AMD FreeSync compatibility on HDMI inputs 4 to 6. HDMI standby pass-through and video scaling from 1080p and 4K to 8K add further installation convenience.

HEOS Streaming and Comprehensive Connectivity

HEOS multi-room integration provides app-controlled access to network audio, supported music services, and compatible HEOS rooms throughout the home. AirPlay 2, Bluetooth with headphone re-transmission, and Roon Ready support complement a network audio platform that handles FLAC, WAV, and ALAC at up to 192kHz/24-bit, and DSD at 2.8 and 5.6MHz. A Moving Magnet phono input, front USB audio port, and FM and AM tuner complete the source connectivity.
