The all-new REL Serie Ti range sets new standards in performance and affordability.
The T/7i is, without reservation, one of the most-balanced RELs of all time. In order to achieve perfect balance, a sub must weigh speed against heft, while ensuring true extension depth. And it must do so in a physically harmonious package. T/7i manages to make it all seem easy. Quick and delicate for a perfect blend, it can pound out exceptionally deep, tuneful bass that belies its size and plays louder than most listeners will ever require.
INNOVATIVE ALLOY/FIBRE BASS ENGINES
The new composite alloy/fibre engine in T/7i blends precisely the correct dimension of stiffening alloy with a fibre material chosen for its sonic neutrality and light weight. The combination is brilliant; exceeding the performance of competitors’ drivers that are many times more expensive. The forward-firing 8” active couples with a larger 10” down-firing passive, again with carefully chosen balances of alloy to fibre and the result is seamless, effortlessly deep bass that blends perfectly with the main speakers.
REL’s electronics are the brains and power behind the company’s success. The Serie T/7i uses the same Class A/B power amplifier sections with large, high current power supplies and precision-wound transformers that have under-pinned some 100,000 RELs. And the reliability of these amplifier sections is legendary.
FASTER AND DEEPER
When REL upgraded the original Serie Ti drivers, engineers were forced to redesign outwardly also. The lovely cabinets are slightly larger than their predecessors due to thicker walls and improved bracing. Why? Because the additional speed and impact of the new drivers requires greater control. Without this re-design the benefits can be lost before they get to the listener.
Additional upgrades extended even into the design of the subwoofer feet, resulting in greater speed and solidity to the presentation of sound.
VERSATILE CONNECTIVITY AND CALIBRATION
For those seeking perfect time alignment with a high-end music system, the T/7i includes a “speakon-based”, High Level input. This unique REL feature allows connection of the T/7i to the main amplifier channels without altering the system impedance. This connectivity delivers perfectly timed bass extension for serious 2-channel music playback. And for home theatre applications the T/7i allows simultaneous Low Level or .1LFE inputs with separate level adjustment.
