Solid 5% Silver Conductors
Carbon USB features solid 5% silver-plated Long-Grain Copper conductors. Because high-frequency digital signals travel primarily on the surface of the conductor, increasing the silver content at the surface significantly improves performance. Solid conductors minimise electrical and magnetic strand-to-strand interaction, reducing distortion and jitter for improved clarity and precision.
Carbon-Based 3-Layer Noise-Dissipation
Traditional shielding systems can drain captured radio-frequency interference directly to ground, potentially modulating and distorting the system’s reference plane. AudioQuest’s Carbon-Based 3-Layer Noise-Dissipation System (NDS) uses alternating layers of metal and carbon-loaded synthetics to “shield the shield,” absorbing and reflecting most RF noise before it reaches the ground-connected layer.
