The Hegel H200 combines a powerful analogue amplifier with advanced streaming, digital conversion, a Moving Magnet phono stage and comprehensive system control. Delivering 150 W per channel into 8 ohms, it brings flexibility and high end performance together in one elegant component.

Powerful and Precise Amplification

The Class A/B amplifier section delivers 150 W per channel into 8 ohms and remains stable with loads down to 2 ohms. A damping factor greater than 4000 provides exceptional control over loudspeaker drivers, supporting precise bass, clear rhythms and a composed presentation with demanding music.

SoundEngine2 Technology

Hegel SoundEngine2 technology detects distortion as it occurs and cancels it before it can travel further through the signal path. This allows the H200 to remain clean, controlled and detailed as musical complexity and loudspeaker demands increase.

Serious Analogue Connectivity

The H200 provides one balanced XLR input, two unbalanced RCA inputs and both fixed and variable line level outputs. A high quality headphone output is also included for private listening, allowing analogue sources and external components to become part of a versatile system.

Dedicated Moving Magnet Phono Stage

The integrated Moving Magnet phono input is based on the Moving Magnet section of the Hegel V10 phono stage. Hand matched FET transistor gain stages and carefully selected operational amplifiers provide low noise, precision and musical performance for vinyl playback.

Integrated Digital Conversion

The high performance digital to analogue converter supports coaxial, optical, USB B, USB A and network sources. USB drive playback accommodates libraries of up to 10,000 songs, while network connectivity provides access to streaming services, internet radio, podcasts and local music collections.

Careful Digital Noise Control

Separate circuit boards, considered grounding, careful signal routing and precise internal layout help protect the analogue circuitry from digital switching noise. This approach supports a quiet background with a smooth, rich and detailed musical presentation.

Advanced Music Streaming

The H200 supports Spotify Connect Lossless, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, Apple AirPlay, Google Cast, Roon Ready, UPnP, internet radio and podcasts. Playback can be controlled directly through familiar services or through the Hegel Control App.

Designed for Everyday Use

Digital Input Sense can wake the amplifier and select the appropriate input when a signal is detected. The H200 can learn volume commands from a television remote, while fixed input volume, startup volume, maximum volume, automatic standby and customisable display settings support convenient daily operation.

Flexible System Integration

Individual inputs can be assigned a fixed volume level for integration with an AV receiver or another component that controls volume. Support for Control4, Crestron Home and Crestron SIMPL allows the H200 to become part of an advanced smart home system.

Ready for Future Upgrades

Firmware, application and feature updates are installed automatically when released. A coaxial digital output and DAC Loop function allow digital signals to be sent to an external digital to analogue converter, providing a flexible upgrade path while the H200 continues to manage streaming, source selection, volume and amplification.
