Description
Helsyn Nebula 2.35:1 Cinemascope Acoustic Fixed Frame Projection Screen
Cinemascope Immersion, Without Acoustic Compromise
The Helsyn Nebula 2.35:1 is an acoustically transparent fixed frame projection screen in the Cinemascope aspect ratio, designed for dedicated home cinema rooms where the full widescreen cinematic experience and the placement of loudspeakers behind the screen are both non-negotiable requirements. Combining Helsyn’s UltraFine White 8K woven fabric with a gain of 0.97, acoustic attenuation of less than 1.8dB, full HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support, and a luxury 9cm black premium flocked velvet frame on every size, the Nebula 2.35:1 delivers the visual brilliance and uncompromised audio fidelity of a cinema-grade screen in a design that is both meticulously engineered and visually distinguished. Available in sizes from 120 to 170 inches diagonal, with the same premium construction throughout, the Nebula 2.35:1 elevates any home cinema to a genuine cinematic sanctuary.
UltraFine White 8K Woven Fabric for Visual and Acoustic Excellence
The Nebula’s UltraFine White 8K woven fabric is the foundation of its dual role as both a high-performance projection surface and an acoustically transparent barrier. Visually, the fabric delivers vibrant colours, sharp fine detail, and support for the full dynamic range of HDR10+ and Dolby Vision content, with deeper blacks, brighter highlights, and more accurate colour reproduction than conventional screen materials. A gain of 0.97 ensures excellent brightness and uniformity across wide viewing angles, with an impressive 0.95 gain retained even at 50 degrees off-axis, making the Nebula 2.35:1 effective for wide seating configurations. A black backing is included to prevent reflections from behind the screen from contaminating the image.
Acoustic Transparency for True Three-Channel Sound
The Nebula’s acoustic attenuation of less than 1.8dB, dropping to less than 1.0dB below 9kHz, ensures that sound from loudspeakers positioned behind the screen passes through with minimal interference across the full audible frequency range. This level of acoustic transparency makes the Nebula 2.35:1 the natural choice for dedicated home cinema rooms where a true three-channel front soundstage with left, centre, and right speakers positioned behind the screen is the goal. The result is a listening experience in which sound appears to originate from within the image itself, precisely as it does in the finest commercial cinemas, without any perceptible degradation of either the visual or acoustic performance.
PerfectSquare Frame Technology and Luxury 9cm Velvet Frame
Every Nebula 2.35:1, regardless of size, features a luxury 9cm black premium flocked velvet fixed frame that enhances perceived contrast and visual impact while providing an elegant and proportionate border suited to the scale of a Cinemascope installation. Helsyn’s PerfectSquare Frame Technology ensures the screen surface remains permanently taut and precisely aligned, eliminating the waviness and sagging that can affect lesser fixed frame designs. Ultra-compact packaging makes transport and installation straightforward across all available sizes.
