Luxman L-507Z Stereo Integrated Amplifier
Luxman’s New Generation Z Series Integrated Amplifiers
The L-507Z marks the beginning of Luxman’s next generation of amplifier products. As the debut model in the Z series, it features the newly developed LIFES amplification feedback engine, offering unprecedented musicality and sonic refinement. Combining cutting-edge technology with sophisticated functionality, the L-507Z sets a new standard for Luxman’s integrated amplifier lineup.
Our Latest Amplification Feedback Engine: LIFES Version 1.0
As Luxman approaches its 100th anniversary in 2025, the brand has introduced LIFES, the successor to the renowned ODNF feedback circuitry that has been integral to its amplifiers since 1999. The new LIFES circuit achieves a dynamic, lifelike sound by eliminating negative feedback from the main amplifier, delivering a remarkably natural tonal balance.
Developed through advanced simulations and exhaustive listening tests, LIFES Version 1.0 reduces the number of parallel circuit elements while improving performance. Distortion in the amplification stage has been cut to less than half of previous models. The output stage employs a three-stage Darlington triple-paralleled push-pull configuration, delivering powerful Class AB output of 110W+110W (8Ω) and 210W+210W (4Ω). This high output power ensures effortless speaker control, a vast soundstage, and an expressive, energetic performance.
Large Needle VU Level Meter and 7-Segment LED Display
The L-507Z continues Luxman’s tradition of analog VU meters, enhancing both aesthetics and functionality. The large dual meters, with bright LED backlighting and high response characteristics, move in sync with the dynamics of the music. Additionally, a newly integrated 7-segment LED display indicates the current attenuation level between the meters, providing clear volume status from the listening position. Users can turn the meter backlighting and LED display on or off via the remote control.
Precision Hairline-Finished Aluminum Top Panel
Encased in an ultra-thick front panel with Luxman’s signature blasted white finish, the L-507Z exudes elegance and durability. The precision hairline-finished aluminum top panel enhances the amplifier’s luxurious aesthetic, while large ventilation slots ensure optimal airflow. The entire chassis housing is constructed from aluminum panels, providing excellent heat dissipation for stable long-term operation.
New LECUA1000 Electronically Controlled Attenuator
The L-507Z features Luxman’s latest LECUA1000, an 88-step electronically controlled attenuator integrated into the amplifier circuit. This system minimizes sound quality degradation at any volume level. Additionally, the preamplifier’s output section includes discrete buffer circuitry, ensuring a powerful and distortion-free signal to the power amplifier stage.
Highly Regulated Power Supply Circuit
At the core of the L-507Z’s power supply is a custom-made EI-type transformer, complemented by newly developed large-capacity filter capacitors (10,000μF x 8). This design ensures an instantaneous current supply and stable voltage regulation, effortlessly meeting the demands of dynamic, high-energy music.
Advanced Switching and Control Functions
The L-507Z offers a comprehensive set of features, including:
- A built-in, newly developed MM/MC-compatible phono amplifier for high-quality analog playback
- Sensitive tone controls and L balance control for precise sound adjustments
- A loudness function for low-volume listening enhancement
- A separate function that allows pre and power amplifier decoupling for bi-amp setups
- A new mute button on the front panel for added convenience
Newly Designed Parallel Headphone Outputs
For an immersive personal listening experience, the L-507Z features dual headphone outputs. In addition to the standard 6.3mm output, a new 4.4mm balanced output has been added. The 4.4mm jack offers independent left and right ground wiring, significantly enhancing stereo separation for a more three-dimensional listening experience.
High-Quality Input Terminals
The RCA input terminals for LINE-1 are crafted from a high-purity copper alloy, combining the conductivity of copper with the durability of brass. This ensures superior signal transmission, making it ideal for high-end audiophile-grade cables. LINE-1 features a 20mm pitch, while LINE-2, 3, and 4 use an 18mm pitch configuration.
Cast Iron Feet for Superior Stability
The L-507Z is supported by high-density cast iron feet, designed to minimize vibration and resonance. The feet gradually taper from the center outward, preventing unwanted resonances and ensuring optimal isolation. This construction helps preserve the purity of delicate musical details, making the L-507Z an exceptionally stable and sonically refined component.
