The MODEL 70 features a refined amplifier design employing Marantz’s current feedback topology, optimising the signal path and reducing noise to deliver a more open, precise, and transparent sound that allows the listener to hear more of every performance. Delivering 50 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 65 watts into 4 ohms, the MODEL 70’s high-current Class A/B amplification is supported by a toroidal power transformer, Schottky diodes, solid heat sinks with an aluminium extrusion heat sink design, and a linear drive power supply. High-grade audio components and customised components throughout the signal path, combined with Marantz’s SA3 HDAM module, reflect the same commitment to circuit quality that has defined Marantz amplification for decades. Total harmonic distortion is held to 0.08%, frequency response extends from 5Hz to 50kHz, and a damping factor of 100 ensures confident, controlled loudspeaker drive.
