PrimaLuna EVO 200 Tube Integrated Amplifier (Black)
This pre loved PrimaLuna EVO 200 is offered in black as a single clearance unit. It combines valve amplification, analogue source selection and a headphone output in one chassis.
Valve amplification
The EVO 200 is rated at 44 watts per channel into 8 ohms in ultralinear operation with EL34 valves. The model’s standard valve complement is four EL34 output valves and four 12AU7 valves. Separate 4 and 8 ohm speaker connections allow matching to the connected loudspeakers.
Adaptive AutoBias
PrimaLuna’s Adaptive AutoBias circuit continuously monitors and adjusts the output valve bias. It operates outside the audio signal path, reducing the need for manual bias adjustment. A high and low bias switch accommodates compatible EL34 and KT88 output valves.
Analogue connections and home theatre integration
Four stereo RCA line inputs accommodate analogue sources such as a CD player, external DAC or streamer with an analogue output. A separate stereo home theatre bypass input allows integration with a compatible surround system. A stereo tape output is also provided.
Headphone listening
The front panel 6.35mm headphone connection uses the amplifier’s valve circuitry and output transformers rather than a separate chip amplifier. This allows the EVO 200 to serve both a loudspeaker system and a headphone listening setup.
Construction and protection
The amplifier uses a ventilated steel chassis, point to point wiring, ceramic valve sockets and an ALPS volume control. Custom transformers are encapsulated to reduce hum. SoftStart circuitry manages startup, while output stage and power transformer protection circuits help protect the amplifier if a fault or overheating occurs.
Dimensions and model specifications
The EVO 200 measures 365 × 205 × 405mm (W × H × D) and weighs 24kg. Frequency response is specified at 10Hz to 65kHz within ±1dB. The optional PhonoLogue phono stage is not a standard feature; no optional phono stage is advertised as included with this clearance unit.
