Diamond USB uses Solid Perfect-Surface Silver conductors to prevent electrical and magnetic strand interaction. Perfect-Surface Silver minimises distortion caused by grain boundaries and maximises linear RF noise dissipation. By eliminating strand interaction and using the highest-purity silver, Diamond USB delivers exceptional signal clarity and precision.
Carbon-Based 3-Layer Noise-Dissipation
Traditional shielding methods often drain captured radio-frequency interference directly to ground, potentially modulating and distorting the system’s reference plane. AudioQuest’s Carbon-Based 3-Layer Noise-Dissipation System (NDS) uses alternating layers of metal and carbon-loaded synthetics to “shield the shield,” absorbing and reflecting most RF noise before it reaches the ground-connected layer. This approach helps maintain signal integrity and reduce noise contamination.
72V Dielectric-Bias System (DBS)
The integrated 72V Dielectric-Bias System reduces dielectric involvement—where insulation materials absorb and release energy, causing phase shift and timing errors. By maintaining a constant bias across the insulation, DBS minimises time-based distortion and soundstage smearing. An included RF Trap prevents radio-frequency noise from being induced into the signal conductors from the DBS field elements.
Hard-Cell Foam Insulation
Hard-Cell Foam (HCF) insulation preserves critical signal-pair geometry while minimising energy absorption. Nitrogen-injected air pockets reduce stored and released energy that can introduce distortion. The material’s rigidity ensures stable impedance characteristics along the entire cable length.
Direction-Controlled Conductors
