The Kerr Acoustic K200 is a three-way stand-mount loudspeaker born from the same recipe as the reference K100, but in a significantly more compact format that allows it to integrate effectively into a wider range of listening spaces and studio environments. Featuring a ten-inch Radial woofer partnered with a 75mm dome midrange driver and a 60mm true ribbon tweeter, the K200 delivers the same uncompromised accuracy and fully extended sonic performance that defines the Kerr Acoustic range, from 22Hz to 45kHz, in a cabinet that brings reference monitoring and critical listening capability to rooms where the K100’s large-format dimensions would be impractical. Whether deployed in a mix or mastering studio or at the heart of a personal high-fidelity system, the K200 guarantees truly accurate and vivid musical playback at all listening levels.
Three-Way Driver Array Inherited from the K100
The K200’s three-way driver complement mirrors the philosophy of the K100 in a more compact implementation. A 250mm high-performance long-throw woofer with Radial intercooler technology handles the low frequencies, extending to 22Hz and providing the full weight and physical impact of the bass register with effortless composure. A 75mm low-distortion dome midrange driver with a 5kg magnet assembly reproduces the critical vocal and instrumental midrange band with exceptional clarity and resolution. A 60mm true ribbon tweeter with a diaphragm mass of just 0.027 grams completes the driver complement, resolving the finest high-frequency detail with the speed, air, and transparency that only true ribbon technology can deliver, extending the K200’s response to 45kHz.
Exceptional Cabinet Construction and Finish Options
The K200 is constructed exclusively from 24mm Baltic Birch plywood in a transmission-line cabinet, combining exceptional strength and rigidity with the acoustic properties required for uncoloured and vivid musical playback. A mixed-order crossover at 370Hz and 3.6kHz with 12dB and 18dB per octave slopes ensures a coherent and precisely controlled transition between all three driver units. Available in a range of real wood veneer finishes including Oak and Walnut, as well as satin or high-gloss lacquer in any RAL colour, the K200 is as considered in its finish as it is in its acoustic engineering. Magnetic grilles are supplied as standard, and dedicated stands are available separately.
