BlueBOLT compatibility via the optional BlueBOLT-CV2 interface card provides remote control and power monitoring over any internet connection through a hosted web-based interface, while RS-232 control with a wide range of commands enables integration with existing control systems. Dual programmable IR control allows the F1500-UPS E to send automatic shutdown commands to remote components in the event of a blackout, protecting connected devices even when no operator is present.

The F1500-UPS E is specifically optimised for digital and low to moderate current AV components including DAWs, satellite receivers, cable boxes, digital video recorders, media servers, external hard drives, lamp-based video displays, and control systems. High-current components such as power amplifiers, powered subwoofers, and high-wattage displays are not recommended for use with any battery backup UPS, as they drain battery reserves rapidly and can experience performance compression due to the line impedance of the AVR and AC to DC inverter stage. For these components, Furman recommends their Classic, Prestige, or Reference Series power conditioners, or solutions featuring Furman’s Power Factor Technology.
